Alpacas roam freely in their natural habitat in the highlands of Peru. Their farmers never harm or kill them for their wool. Alpacas create small footprints that do not damage the fields they graze on. When they eat, they cut the grass, promoting regrowth.

Where Was This Hoodie Made?

We use natural local resources and a short transparent supply chain. Our mission is to teach you as much as possible about how clothes should be made. Together we can move the fashion industry towards a sustainable future.

Contrary to industry norms, every step involved in making our clothes is done in only one country: Peru, the home of our family. Our production in Peru includes fiber sourcing, yarn spinning, fabric knitting, dyeing, finishing, and garment sewing.

From Peru, our clothes go straight to California or Europe on its journey to you.

Manufacturing in one country allows us to greatly reduce our carbon footprint and freight shipping. This is a major step on our journey to becoming a carbon negative company.

We avoid industrial farming by working with co-op farmers in the Andes. Doing everything in Peru guarantees we know how the alpacas and the workers involved are being treated.

300 Lightweight Alpaca Hoodie

I recently received my 300 Lightweight Alpaca Hoodie in size L (I am 185cm tall, 77kg, slim guy), and I found that the hoodie fits me perfect.
Is well-tailored and well weaved garment; it is not too tight at the forearms or stomach or shoulder area, it's long enough so your back is not exposed to the cold if you bend down, the material is stretchy enough to fit a stronger built body and the soft, silky touch is just an extra on top.
Testing it's heat retention I put on a 110 ultralight long sleeve base layer under this hoodie, and a waxed cotton jacket on top that has no insulation, then went outside (5 C° with slight wind).
I found that I had to move to feel warm enough in this weather but would feel a bit cold if staying stationary, therefore I believe this is a perfect travel hoodie from the beginning of spring to the end of autumn in itself, and during winter paired with a hardshell jacket you either have to do some exercise (skiing, trekking, mountaineering etc.) or you have to get a warmer winter jacket on top.
In conclusion I am very happy with this purchase and give this hoodie 5 stars given it's versatility and overall usefulness throughout the year.

Requested garment vs received garment

I ordered a size XL hoodie, however I received size M; obviously this size doesn’t fit me. At €160 + this is, to understate the case, somewhat disappointing.
